KNIT AWARDS TO RUNA SOMMERFELT AND LINKA NEUMANN!

The Knit Awards took place this weekend, and two of our amazing Knitting Book authors walked away with prestigious prizes.

Linka Neumann was awarded both People’s Favorite and Collaboration of The Year, for her project with the enviromental organization Naturvern. Neumann’s Wilderness Sweaters has sold more than a quarter of a million books sold in 8 countries. Runa Sommerfelt was awarded Knitting Designer of The Year. Runa Knits has been a huge best seller and sold to Denmark and Germany, and her new book, Knitting Joy, is currently number 1 on the bestseller list!

In addition to this, Une Cecilie Oksvold was nominated for Pattern of The Year. Oksvold is the author of Une Cecilie’s Happy Knits, which has sold to Denmark, Germany and USA.

Northern Stories named a Gazelle Company for the second year in a row

Norway’s largest independent literary agency, Northern Stories, has been named a Gazelle Company by Dagens Næringsliv for the second consecutive year. In 2024, the agency grew its turnover from NOK 10.2 to 15.8 million – an increase of more than 50 percent, marking yet another record year.
