Dilani Vamapahan joins Northern Stories
Northern Stories has hired Dilani Vamapahan as a literary agent. She was chosen from a pool of 175 applicants.
With more than 20 years in the business, his track record includes feature films and drama series spanning a wide range of genres for both adults and children.
Moldestad is perhaps most known for his thriller manuscripts, including Leave (2022), Tainted (2019) and Cold Prey (2006 and 2008). The Netflix original The Conference will be launched in 2023.
His work also includes manuscripts for the crime series Varg Veum (in 2007, 2008 and 2010), the feature film Gold Run (2022) – currently Viaplay’s most successful feature film ever – and ZombieLars (2017-2019), an exciting comedy drama series for kids.
Moldestad has the pleasure of working with the very best directors in Norway such as Tommy Wirkola, Roar Uthaug, Morten Tyldum and Hallvard Bræin.
He won the prestigious Amanda Prize for best screenplay (for Varg Veum – Bitter Flowers) with co-writer Siv Rajendram in 2008.
Moldestad will be in good company with Northern Stories’ other screenwriters: Nikolaj Frobenius, John Kåre Raake, Karsten Fullu, Anne Elvedal, Helena Nilsen, Gisle Nordmann Melhus, and Mina Stenebråten.
